Agua Fabrics renews Design Guild Mark sponsorship
We are delighted to announce that we've renewed our sponsorship of the ‘Interior Design Elements’ category for the Design Guild Mark 2025.
Now in its 19th year, the Design Guild Mark aims to promote and celebrate the best of British industrial design. Founded by Jonathan Hindle and now chaired by Alex Crofts, the DGM awards designers for individual products or a collection or products ranging from carpets, textiles, wall coverings, lighting and more. Every year Design Guild Marks are awarded to the very best British designers and practices, and this year will be no different. Agua is proud to have been involved with the DGM for some time now, and this year we’ll be sponsoring the ‘Interior Design Elements’ category once again. Incorporating textiles, wall coverings, surfaces, carpets and floor coverings, the category highlights the importance and sheer variety of talented interior designers in Britain.
‘British design across all disciplines is world class but seldom receives the support and recognition it deserves’, says Milan Cvetkovic, sales director at Agua Fabrics. ‘The Design Guild Mark is the only, and without doubt, most prestigious vehicle for recognising outstanding British design. As a major supplier of fabrics to the UK commercial interiors sector, sponsorship of the Interior Design Elements category affords Agua the opportunity to ensure the Design Guild Mark continues and thrives while addressing our desire to give something back to the industry we serve.’
Awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, the Design Guild Mark has grown to become one of the most influential and coveted design programmes since its inception in 2008. The Design Guild Mark’s three categories (Furniture, Lighting, and Interior Design Elements) are open to designers working in the UK and British designers working abroad. Each submission is subsequently judged in person, with the designer present, by a carefully curated panel of judges, all of whom are at the top of their respective fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the evaluation process.
Alex Crofts, Design Guild Mark chairman, said: ‘We are delighted to have Agua Fabrics continue their sponsorship of the Interior Design Elements category. Their commitment to innovation and quality mirrors the values of the Design Guild Mark, and their support helps us spotlight exceptional British design talent. Together, we aim to ensure that the remarkable creativity and ingenuity of our designers are celebrated and supported both in the UK and on the global stage.’
The Design Guild Mark is judged by a panel of leading industry professionals. Each member of the panel is from the furniture, lighting, hospitality, commercial, retail, textiles or academic industry. Judges ensure that each submission meets the criteria of excellence in design, materials, manufacture, and function.
