Our Story
At Agua, we love fabrics. For more than 80 years we have specialised in the contract market. Originally we made and supplied uniforms and gowns to hospitals before the Second World War, but our business has evolved over time. Now, in the 21st century, our knowledge of the contract sector has made us the leader in technical, high-performance upholstery fabrics – designed for all purposes, sectors and design projects.
Our first waterproof and fire retardant upholstery collection was launched in 2004, and we now have an extensive range of over 35 collections and more than 700 different fabrics. From all our years of experience, we understand the needs and requirements of performance fabrics in all manner of demanding environments.
We are based in north London with a partner network for worldwide warehousing and distribution. We hold large levels of stock for all our collections and aim to supply orders globally within a few working days of receiving an order. We’re proud to be a family business, and to have led our industry in textile innovation for four generations – and counting.
