Agua: Your dedicated performance fabrics supplier

Interested in working with Agua? Allow us to walk you through our process

Our work always starts with a conversation. We are either contacted directly by an interior designer or specifier who is currently engaged on a project, or as is more frequently the case, when we’re presenting new ranges or updating product binders in person. The designer could be planning the bedrooms for a new luxury hotel, or be overseeing the redesign of a public space. Whatever the project, a suitable fabric to upholster furniture is required, and that’s where Agua comes in.

As befits our reputation as a trusted industry partner, our approach and ethos is always consultative and educative. We’ll begin by clarifying the type of scheme they are working on. Sometimes the customer will have a strong idea of what type of fabric will meet the brief, but more often than not they need more guidance. Our longstanding, experienced nationwide team are all equipped to provide this. Either way, we’ll guide them through our collections, colours and textures to determine what ranges appeal, and if required at this stage, order samples for next day delivery.

Dedicated Business Development Managers - Going the extra mile

Support for our customers does not end here. An Agua Business Development Manager (BDM) is always on hand to assist further, if need be. We endeavour to help not only with sampling the selected fabrics, but also with suggestions for additional fabrics that increase choice and might enhance the visuals whilst still meeting the brief. We might also suggest collections that may be more practical from a cleaning and maintenance perspective. Or, we could advise against certain colour choices in specific environments, e.g. avoiding light colours in environments exposed to high levels of contact with denim, or using a vinyl instead of a soft fabric.

Agua has a long standing focus on developing, producing and supplying performance fabrics. This informs our drive to actively educate designers to help them understand what differentiates performance fabrics from non-performance fabrics. We do this through an ongoing programme of relaxed, informal ‘lunch and learns’, which are supported by visual presentations explaining, in layman’s terms, how these characteristics are achieved and what their benefits are. This can be supplemented by information on our ongoing objective of lessening our impact on the world around us.

Managed Stock Levels For Smooth Supply

Agua’s support continues right through to purchase and installation with our team on hand to liaise with the appointed furniture manufacturers to ensure all runs smoothly. Across 1,148 UK stocked lines, Agua has never had more than 3% of the total lines out of stock at any one time. With replenishment orders only a week or two away, problems with delivery are rare. On those rare occasions, your local Agua BDM can assist with suggesting an appropriate alternative or working with management and the customer service team to try and improve lead times on replenishment stock.

At any stage of the project and even post completion, all relevant supporting documentation from fire certificates or cleaning and maintenance sheets can be accessed online or collated and supplied by your local BDM.

In short, we strive to keep the process as simple and straightforward as possible, providing as much or as little assistance as necessary. We offer up our skills and years of knowledge to make our customers' lives easier, while also ensuring a successful outcome for all project stakeholders. We pride ourselves on our personal, friendly service, and this is attested to by the consistent positive feedback we’ve received over the years.
